It’s been two years since Angelina Jolie, now 45, filed for divorce from Brad Pitt, 59, and the dust hasn’t fully settled between them. While the world has been watching their separation unfold, it seems Brad’s relationship with some of his children is becoming increasingly strained. According to a source speaking with Us Weekly, Brad reportedly faces challenges in maintaining a strong bond with two of his sons.
For Brad, reconnecting with his older sons, 19-year-old Maddox and 17-year-old Pax, has proven to be particularly difficult. The source reveals that Brad has come to terms with the fact that repairing these relationships might not be possible. "He's accepted that he’ll likely never be able to mend fences with Maddox and Pax," the source explained. It’s a heavy burden for any parent to carry, but it seems Brad is preparing himself for this reality. Moreover, the source suggests that Brad’s chances of having a positive post-divorce relationship with Angelina herself are slim to none. "Angelina hasn’t shown any willingness to compromise on the actions that have contributed to the situation," the source added.
Of course, Angelina and Brad have four other children—15-year-old Zahara Marley, 14-year-old Shiloh, and 12-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne. The dynamics within this large family are undoubtedly complex, and the emotional weight of the divorce continues to ripple through their lives.

Brad and Angelina’s marriage lasted only two years, from 2014 to 2016, following Brad’s five-year marriage to Jennifer Aniston. However, their relationship began to unravel after an alleged incident involving Maddox and Pax on a flight from France to Los Angeles on September 14, 2016. This event became a turning point that led Angelina to file for divorce. Since then, neither Brad nor Angelina has remarried, each choosing to focus on their respective careers and raising their children.
Earlier this month, the former couple finally reached a child custody agreement, averting a court battle that would have required them to publicly air their differences. Angelina had initially sought sole physical custody of the six children, while Brad wanted a 50/50 joint custody arrangement. Fortunately, they managed to come to an understanding without needing a judge to intervene. “A custody arrangement was agreed upon two weeks ago, and has been signed by both parties and the judge,” Angelina’s attorney Samantha Bley DeJean announced on November 30. “The agreement, which is based on the recommendations of the child custody evaluator, eliminates the need for a trial. The filing and details of the agreement are confidential to protect the best interests of the children.”
It’s clear that both parties have recognized the importance of putting the children’s needs first. As The Blast previously reported, “The former couple finally realized the ongoing fight is only hurting the children, and it’s expected to be finalized very soon.” This agreement marks a significant step forward in healing their fractured family.
