Actress Eva Longoria is embracing motherhood fully after welcoming her son, Santiago Enrique Bastón, six months ago. The Desperate Housewives star has no plans to distance herself from her little bundle of joy anytime soon, and it's easy to see why. Little Santi, as Eva affectionately calls him, is a joy to be around and doesn't cause any trouble.
At just 43 years old, Eva has seamlessly integrated motherhood into her busy career. Speaking to Us Weekly in a candid interview, she revealed that Santi is always by her side. "He’s always with me," she shared, adding that her demanding schedule hasn't kept her away from her son. Whether she's filming the live-action version of Dora the Explorer or directing episodes of Black-ish, Eva ensures that her baby boy is part of the journey. "The great thing about the work I do is that I’m able to do that. I’m really grateful. I get to take Santiago to work every day," Eva expressed, emphasizing her gratitude for the flexibility her career offers.

As a first-time mom, Eva is diving headfirst into the world of parenthood. "It’s amazing. Every cliché has come true, but it’s wonderful. I’m really lucky to have such a good boy," she gushed. While this is Eva's first child, her husband, Jose Bastón, has plenty of experience raising kids. With three children from his previous marriage to Natalia Esperón, Jose has been a supportive and experienced partner. "He’s an amazing father to his three older children, so I knew that he’d be amazing with Santi," Eva told the magazine.
Despite her busy schedule, Eva is determined to maintain her fitness routine. Recently, she opened up to Us Weekly about her postpartum journey. "I really gave my body time to adjust to postpartum and post-pregnancy. You know, it had a baby! It created a human life, so I really wasn’t too hard on myself about getting back into shape," she explained. Now, Eva is ramping up her workouts, focusing on weight training. "Now I’m working out a lot more and watching what I eat. I’m barely starting to get back into it. My workouts now are more weight training. Very serious weight training," she admitted, though she still holds a special place in her heart for yoga.
Besides her role in Dora the Explorer, Eva has wrapped up filming All-Star Weekend, starring alongside Benicio Del Toro and Robert Downey Jr. Fans are eagerly waiting to see if Santi makes a cameo appearance in any of her upcoming projects. Eva's dedication to her career and her family is truly inspiring, showing that it's possible to balance both with grace and determination.
