Hey there, friends. You don’t need to head all the way to Hollywood to learn about Natalie Portman. This 37-year-old actress has become a household name, thanks to her incredible performances in films like Black Swan and Jackie. But guess what? Despite being a global star, Natalie shared in a recent interview with People that her two kids, Amalia Millepied, who's nearly 2, and Aleph Portman-Millepied, 7, don't even realize she's famous yet.
Natalie explained, "They haven't seen my movies yet because I think it's scary for them to see me as anything other than mom." She added, "But they've seen me in costume, so they've had a glimpse." It’s clear that Natalie is focused on keeping her family life as normal as possible for her children. That’s a mom who truly understands the importance of family over fame.
Let’s rewind to the set of Black Swan, where Natalie first met her now-husband, Benjamin Millepied. He was there to help her with her ballet moves, and it didn't take long for sparks to fly. "He knows me so well both as a person and also in terms of my strengths and limitations as a dancer," Natalie gushed. "He’s the kindest person to work with. He’s very encouraging and gentle." Clearly, their connection was more than just professional—it was the start of a beautiful family.

Even after the success of Black Swan, Natalie and Benjamin didn’t stop collaborating. In a previous interview with People, Natalie revealed that they worked together again on her latest project, Vox Lux. "It was fun to get to watch him create because I don’t often watch him in the studio," she said. "Just to see the ease and the expertise that he has, and of course with different kinds of dance too, was really, really stunning." She went on to praise Benjamin's ability to seamlessly create choreography under tight deadlines. "He was really able to create choreography very seamlessly and quickly because we had very little time." It’s obvious their professional relationship is just as strong as their personal bond.
