When it comes to life-changing moments, the arrival of a new baby is right up there. For Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher, the birth of their second child, Jacob Bryan Fisher, is nothing short of a miracle. Just hours after Carrie, the 35-year-old country music sensation, announced Jacob's arrival on Instagram, Mike, 38, also took to social media to express his overwhelming joy. This "miracle baby," as Mike calls him, is a testament to the couple's unwavering faith and perseverance through life's challenges.
In a deeply personal Instagram post, Mike Fisher opened up about the emotional journey leading to Jacob's birth. “Jacob Bryan Fisher! You are a gift from the Lord!" Mike wrote. He went on to reflect on the challenges they faced in recent years, making this moment even sweeter. "The last few years have had their challenges, and it makes this moment even more special. We weren’t sure if Izzy would ever have another sibling, but we learned through it all that God is in control, and His timing is perfect. He is good, even during difficult times that are hard to understand." The couple, who got married in July 2010, are already proud parents to a 3-year-old son named Isaiah Michael Fisher. Carrie was the first to break the news about Jacob’s birth with a heartfelt Instagram message on January 23. “Jacob Bryan Fisher entered the world in the wee hours of the morning on Monday [January 21]... his mom, dad, and big brother couldn’t be happier for God to trust them with taking care of this little miracle!" Carrie captioned the first photos of baby Jacob. She went on to express how their hearts are full, their eyes are tired, and their lives are forever changed. "Life is good..." she concluded, encapsulating the pure joy of welcoming a new family member.
The path to expanding their family hasn’t always been smooth for Carrie and Mike. In September 2018, Carrie revealed she had suffered three miscarriages following Isaiah’s birth in 2015. If that wasn’t enough, she also faced a terrifying fall outside her Nashville home in late 2017, resulting in a broken wrist and 40 stitches in her face. Despite these setbacks, Carrie and Mike remained resilient, and their faith kept them going. Their journey is a powerful reminder that even in the face of adversity, hope and love can prevail.

Despite the challenges, Carrie couldn’t have been more thrilled to announce that she and Mike were expecting their second baby together. In an August 2018 video posted to Instagram, she shared her excitement with fans: “Mike, Isaiah, and I are absolutely over the moon and excited to be adding another little fish to our pond. This has just been a dream come true with [the] album and with baby news and all that stuff. We’re just so excited!”
With baby Jacob now in their arms, Carrie, Mike, and Isaiah are celebrating this beautiful addition to their family. Congratulations to them all on this incredible chapter in their lives!
