In preparing for her role in Ben Is Back, Julia immersed herself in researching the opioid crisis, but eventually had to step back because it became too emotionally overwhelming. "I couldn't keep revisiting that place because it was just too heartbreaking," she confessed to Deadline. As for the intricate thriller Homecoming, she says, "It was one of the most technically challenging jobs I've ever taken on, but it was also a dream come true. The complexity of the story and the characters was just irresistible."
