Kate Middleton Celebrates Her Birthday In Low-Key Style

Even though she's the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton prefers to keep things simple when it comes to celebrating her birthday. According to a royal source speaking with Us Weekly, Kate, who turned 37 on January 9, decided against throwing a lavish party. Instead, she chose a quiet day at Kensington Palace, focusing on the things that matter most to her—family and routine. “Kate is at Kensington Palace,” the source revealed. “It’s just a regular day for her, filled with school drop-offs and pick-ups, followed by some quality time spent with the kids.” The source continued, “The evening will be just as peaceful, with a small family gathering to celebrate her special day.”

Though the celebration may be understated, it doesn’t mean Kate’s day lacks heartfelt moments. A source exclusively told Closer Weekly that Prince George and Princess Charlotte had already crafted special birthday cards for their mom in arts and crafts class. “We’re sure Kate will be thrilled to receive these thoughtful gifts from her little ones when they return from school,” the source shared. “In the meantime, she’ll enjoy some much-deserved ‘adult time’ with her mom, Carole Middleton.” It seems that even the most low-key celebrations can be filled with joy and love.

Kate’s Quiet Celebration Continues with Family

While the kids are at school, Carole Middleton plans to celebrate her daughter’s birthday with a touch of elegance. “Carole will celebrate with Kate by opening a bottle of champagne and enjoying a lovely lunch together,” the insider noted. Meanwhile, Kate’s husband, Prince William, spent her birthday on a solo mission at the Royal London Hospital. There, he became a patron of the London Air Ambulance charity’s 30th anniversary campaign, marking an important milestone in his royal duties. Kensington Palace confirmed the event, stating, “The Duke of Cambridge visited @LDNairamb to learn more about the challenges of working as a first responder in the capital #30YearsSavingLives.” They added, “As #30YearsSavingLives Patron, The Duke of Cambridge will support those working on the frontlines and highlight the importance of @LDNairamb’s rapid response to incidents, as well as their cutting-edge medical care.”
