Let’s talk about one of Hollywood’s most beloved couples: Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa. They’ve been married for an impressive 22 years, and if you’re like me, their love story gives you hope for true love. In a recent interview, Mark opened up about their enduring relationship, sharing how Kelly still makes his heart race after all these years.
“I’m crazy about her,” Mark confessed to Us Weekly in a heartfelt moment. Now, if that doesn’t make your heart melt, I don’t know what will. He didn’t stop there either. Mark went on to reveal what he believes is the secret to their long-lasting marriage. “She’s an extremely patient and tolerant woman,” he said, adding, “And I think that’s the true secret to our marriage.”

Now, don’t get me wrong, even the happiest couples face challenges. Mark admitted that their busy schedules can make things tough, but they’ve found ways to keep their connection strong. “Because she has to go to work early, I get up with her, I make her a cup of coffee, and we talk,” Mark shared. It’s those little moments that keep the spark alive, right?
Even when they’re miles apart due to work, they make sure to stay connected. “I like to hear from her, she likes to hear from me,” Mark said. It’s a simple yet powerful reminder that communication is key in any relationship.
While they’ve mastered the art of marriage, parenting is a whole different ballgame. Mark admitted that every day is a learning experience when it comes to raising their three kids: Michael Consuelos, 21, Lola Consuelos, 17, and Joaquin Consuelos, 15. “I’m learning on the job,” he confessed. Their parenting style seems to be more about guiding than enforcing strict rules. “They’re more or less unsaid or unwritten,” Mark explained.
It looks like their kids might be taking a page from their parents’ playbook. Michael recently made his TV debut by playing a younger version of his dad’s character in Riverdale. And guess what? Kelly wasn’t far behind. She joined the show too, playing Mark’s character’s mistress. Sounds like a fun family affair, doesn’t it?

“It was awesome,” Mark gushed to Good Housekeeping about working with Kelly on Riverdale. “It was such a treat. That’s how I started my career, working with my wife. We haven’t done it in such a long time, acting-wise. It was really good to have her on the show. She knows a lot of the cast. They met over the summer when she was visiting Vancouver. It was just a lot of fun.”
