Let’s talk about family reunions, shall we? Thomas Markle Jr., the half-brother of Meghan Markle, is pulling out all the stops in an effort to bring his estranged family back together. And how’s he doing it? By extending a heartfelt invitation to none other than the Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry to attend his upcoming wedding. Now, that’s what I call a bold move!
At 52 years old, Thomas Jr. recently opened up to the Daily Mail about his hopes and dreams for the big day. He and his fiancée, Darlene Blount, sent an invitation all the way to Meghan, 37, and Harry, 34, hoping they’d grace the occasion with their presence. Thomas Jr. explained that their attendance would be a significant step toward healing old wounds. “It’s time to put all the past behind everybody and move on,” he said. “We want to be a closer family again, and starting out the New Year by bringing our family closer together is definitely on the to-do list — it’s very important to us.”
Thomas Jr., the only son of Meghan’s dad, Thomas Markle, believes his wedding could be the perfect moment for Meghan to reconnect with her father. He shared, “This would be a great opportunity for Meg to get together with my dad. It’s been a while, and I truly believe this could be the start of something beautiful for all of us.”

Thomas Jr.'s invitation comes amidst his father's relentless attempts to mend fences with Meghan. Thomas Sr. has tried everything in the book, from asking Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland, for help, to sharing old notes Meghan wrote to him, hoping to tug at her heartstrings. He’s even weighed in on the alleged feud between Meghan and Kate Middleton, expressing his frustration over the criticism Meghan is facing. “If there’s any animosity between Meghan and Kate, they should put their differences aside,” Thomas Sr. told The Sun. “I’m very upset by the criticism Meghan is getting. She doesn’t deserve it, and I don’t think she’s doing one-third of the things she’s accused of doing.”
While Thomas Sr. was unable to attend Meghan’s royal wedding due to reported health issues, Thomas Jr. is hopeful that Meghan and Harry will find the time to make it to his nuptials. The wedding is set to take place in either Reno or Las Vegas, NV, and Darlene Blount, Thomas Jr.'s fiancée, is equally excited about the possibility of having Meghan at their special day. “It would be kind of exciting,” Darlene said. However, whether or not this excitement will be enough to convince the couple to attend remains to be seen.
