Meghan Markle's Security Concerns: A Former Bodyguard Speaks Out

Here’s a heads-up: A former royal bodyguard has opened up about potential security concerns surrounding Meghan Markle and her family. The duchess, who recently celebrated her 37th birthday, has been under the spotlight since joining the royal family. And now, there’s chatter about the possibility of certain family members attempting to crash an event with cameras in tow. It’s a situation that’s raising eyebrows and sparking concerns within the royal security team.

What’s the Buzz About Meghan’s Family?

For months, we’ve been hearing from two outspoken members of Meghan’s family. First, there’s her estranged father, Thomas Markle, who has made headlines with his comments. Then there’s her sister, Samantha Markle, who hasn’t shied away from criticizing Meghan, Prince Harry, and the royal family as a whole. Now, the concern is growing that these family members might show up unexpectedly at one of Meghan’s public appearances, possibly with a TV crew in tow to capture the moment.

Former protection officer Ken Wharfe, speaking to the Daily Mail, highlighted the challenges of protecting Meghan. “Protecting Meghan is no easy task,” Wharfe explained. “There’s a real worry about her dysfunctional family dynamics. The fear is that one or more of them might show up—not at the Palace, but during one of her official engagements, perhaps with a film crew ready to document any confrontation.”

    Is Extra Security Needed?

If these concerns are genuine, Meghan and her team might want to consider enhancing her security detail. Recently, one of her bodyguards reportedly left her team. “The bodyguard isn’t just stepping away from Meghan’s protection; she’s leaving Scotland Yard altogether,” a source told Us Weekly. Interestingly, this decision wasn’t due to any dissatisfaction with Meghan. “It was a personal choice, and she enjoyed working with Meghan. She’ll be missed,” the source added.

This particular bodyguard played a crucial role in safeguarding Meghan during her first joint royal tour with Harry last October. She was also instrumental in ensuring Meghan’s safety during the early stages of her first pregnancy. Given this background, it’s understandable why there might be concerns about unexpected visits from family members, especially her sister, who is now 54 years old. In fact, there have been reports that royal security once turned her away during an attempt to meet Meghan.
