Former protection officer Ken Wharfe, speaking to the Daily Mail, highlighted the challenges of protecting Meghan. “Protecting Meghan is no easy task,” Wharfe explained. “There’s a real worry about her dysfunctional family dynamics. The fear is that one or more of them might show up—not at the Palace, but during one of her official engagements, perhaps with a film crew ready to document any confrontation.”

If these concerns are genuine, Meghan and her team might want to consider enhancing her security detail. Recently, one of her bodyguards reportedly left her team. “The bodyguard isn’t just stepping away from Meghan’s protection; she’s leaving Scotland Yard altogether,” a source told Us Weekly. Interestingly, this decision wasn’t due to any dissatisfaction with Meghan. “It was a personal choice, and she enjoyed working with Meghan. She’ll be missed,” the source added.

This particular bodyguard played a crucial role in safeguarding Meghan during her first joint royal tour with Harry last October. She was also instrumental in ensuring Meghan’s safety during the early stages of her first pregnancy. Given this background, it’s understandable why there might be concerns about unexpected visits from family members, especially her sister, who is now 54 years old. In fact, there have been reports that royal security once turned her away during an attempt to meet Meghan.
