Hold onto your hats, folks, because Wyatt Russell and Meredith Hagner are about to embark on the next chapter of their love story. Picture this: a snowy backdrop, the glow of holiday lights, and an epic proposal surrounded by family. It’s like something straight out of a romantic movie.
It’s been a whirlwind year for the Hudson family. Just two months after Kate Hudson welcomed her baby girl, Rani Rose, her brother Wyatt, 32, decided it was time to take the next step with his girlfriend of three years. While vacationing in the picturesque Snowmass, Colorado, Wyatt got down on one knee and asked Meredith the question she’d been dreaming of. Meredith, 31, couldn’t wait to share the news with her Instagram followers, posting a slideshow of photos that included a stunning diamond engagement ring.

Meredith couldn’t contain her excitement in the caption. “The love of my dang life proposed to me,” she wrote. “He is the best guy in the world. It was an epic surprise surrounded by our closest family and I would give the proposal 5 stars on yelp!!!!!” Can you hear the joy in her voice? It’s contagious, isn’t it?
This engagement marks Wyatt’s second marriage, as he was previously married to stylist Sanne Hamer from 2014 to 2017. But this time around, it feels like destiny brought him and Meredith together. The couple met on the set of the 2016 indie film Folk Hero & Funny Guy, which is quite the twist of fate. If you think about it, Wyatt’s parents, Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn, also began their legendary romance after meeting on the set of Swing Shift in 1983. It seems like movie sets are the ultimate place to find love.
Kurt Russell once reminisced about his first date with Goldie Hawn, sharing the story on Live! With Kelly and Ryan. “Two hours later, we were still talking—we hadn’t danced at all,” he said, recalling their evening at the Playboy Club in LA. “I was living at my brother-in-law’s house, and she had this home that was being remodeled, so we went there.” But things took an unexpected turn when “there were flashlights around the room,” Kurt added, explaining that security guards mistook them for intruders. “We were like, ‘Guys, get out of here—it’s her house!’ It was a lot of fun, I’ll tell you that. I just can’t believe it was that long ago.”
While Kurt and Goldie have chosen not to walk down the aisle, Wyatt and Meredith are set to make it official. The big question now is: will they tie the knot in a secret ceremony or invite everyone to celebrate their love?
