Hey there, friends! So, you’ve probably heard the news: Goldie Hawn was absolutely thrilled to become a grandma again. On January 17, the legendary actress, who’s now 73, joined her daughter, Kate Hudson, on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. They took over hosting duties and spilled all the tea about the birth of Kate’s third child, Rani Rose. It was a delightful mother-daughter moment filled with laughter and some seriously relatable parenting moments.
Kate, who’s 39 and glowing as ever, shared how she welcomed her daughter into the world. She mentioned that, of course, she wanted her mom present during the delivery. Goldie Hawn, ever the doting grandma-to-be, was ready to be right there in the thick of it. "Of course I want you in the room," Kate said, recalling her excitement and gratitude. But, let’s be honest, things got a little chaotic. There were so many people coming in and out, and Kate admitted she started feeling a bit left out of the social buzz. So, she jokingly told the nurse, “I think I want the epidural because I’m too social for natural childbirth.” Can we all take a moment to appreciate that level of honesty?
And then there’s Goldie, who, as Kate hilariously recounted, was front and center in the delivery room. "The doctor was amazing, but mom, once again, man, she was right in there," Kate recalled with a laugh. The doctor even had to gently remind Goldie to back off a bit, saying, "Goldie, you get a little closer, and you might fall in!" Goldie, ever the professional, replied, "I took my cue, I didn’t get much closer." Classic Goldie—always keeping it real and hilarious.

Goldie and her partner, Kurt Russell, are absolutely smitten with their grandchildren, especially little Rani Rose, who’s now three months old. Just last month, Kate shared a sweet photo of her parents doting on her baby girl. "Grandma and Grandpa Duty… or should I say, Mr. and Mrs. Claus," Kate captioned the post, adding a playful nod to the holiday season. It’s clear that family is everything to this Hollywood power couple.

Goldie and Kurt, who’ve been together for over three decades, have always prioritized family. Kurt once exclusively told Closer Weekly how crucial it is for him to spend quality time with his loved ones, especially during the holidays. "We always trim the tree on Christmas Eve and we have a big meal," he shared. And after dinner? "The grandkids put their pajamas on and hang up their stockings. We get the fire going, and when it gets dark, we always choose someone to read ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas.’" Sounds like the perfect way to celebrate the season, doesn’t it?
