Let me tell you a story about a night that didn't quite go as planned—but turned out perfectly anyway. Julia Roberts, one of Hollywood's most beloved actresses, didn't take home a trophy at the 2019 Golden Globes. But guess what? That didn't stop her from having an absolutely fantastic evening. After the glitz and glamour of the award show on Sunday, January 6th, Julia and her husband, Danny Moder, decided to keep things casual. They stopped off for a late-night treat that we can all relate to: In-N-Out Burger. Who says you need a shiny statuette when you’ve got a double-double and someone you love?
Julia couldn’t resist sharing this adorable moment with her fans. On Instagram, she posted a sweet picture of herself and Danny enjoying their burgers while stealing a kiss. It was such a wholesome and down-to-earth way to end the evening. Her caption summed it up beautifully: “Fun Night W My Fella. Congratulations to All! And to all a good (burger) night.” It’s moments like these that remind us how relatable even the biggest stars can be. Who wouldn’t want to unwind after a long night with some fast food and a loved one?

Her fans absolutely lost their minds in the comments section. One person wrote, “You are a queen!!! 🙌🏾✨,” while another chimed in with, “Yum! Rockin a lovely golden shimmery pedi-mani AND America’s tastiest burger!” It just goes to show that no matter how famous someone is, we all have those little quirks and habits that make us human—and lovable.
During her time on the red carpet, Julia joked around with Ryan Seacrest about possibly retiring from films. “I am done with movies. Here is the E! exclusive,” she teased. “I am done with film, yes.” Now, come on, we know better than to take that seriously. After all, her new show, Homecoming, was nominated for Best TV Drama. But hey, if she ever does decide to step away from the screen, at least she’ll always have In-N-Out to fall back on, right?
It’s clear that Julia is head over heels for her role in Homecoming. During a recent interview, she opened up about why this project stood out to her. “This was such a great piece of material—I wasn’t making a choice to do TV, I was just making a choice to go where I thought the work was interesting,” she explained. “I’ve never called myself a film actor. I’m just an actor. So, for me, I just go where the parts compel me.”
She went on to describe what drew her to the series. “It was the whole package, the whole story. It’s so complex and fascinating and has all of these really interesting ideas and characters that reveal themselves in unique ways,” she added. “I liked the idea of playing to different characters. It was intriguing to explore the differences and the things that she’s aware of—and not aware of.”
